The Diet

Food is extremely important for all individuals whether they do sport or not. It is too often ignored, neglected or wrongly associated with a diet.
For Katia and Jean-Christophe, food means a healthy life, a balance which allows them, beyond their sporting activity, to feel well all through the year. Jérémi and Tom benefit as well from this nutritional equilibrium.
This healthy life is going to consist amongst other things of:

Choosing food that is “good” for health, as natural as possible and which favors “good” proteins, fibers, carbohydrates and lipids in equal balance to avoid excess.

Respecting the method and time of cooking food to conserve the nutritional benefits.

Respecting the use and cooking of oils.
This subject is enormous and deserves to be looked at in depth whether you do sport or not.
There are a large number of books on this matter.
Food plays an important role for Jean-Christophe in his training programs. It is as important for him as physical preparation.
Jean-Christophe uses food complements such as iron, zinc, multivitamins, proteins, mineral salts, magnesium and calcium to prevent nutritional imbalance which all top-level sportsmen have to cope with.
He collaborates with the company Equilibre & Attitude who have developed the range “Ea-Fit” whose products are designed, amongst other things, to help recuperation and prevention “before, during and after” physical exertion.
There are also products which improve resistance and articular comfort (eg. Ea-Fit’s “Chrondrosport”).
Jean-Christophe particularly appreciates yogurt flavored energy bars when he is on an expedition as there are no dairy products at base camp!
