On this picture sent by Yan, you can see in red the « Jet stream » which has a river surrounds the earth and consult the scale below. It is rather impressive!!!

As per Jean-Christophe, everything proceeds as forecasted! He went back from the base camp of the Japanese at 5300m this morning after having spent one night at 6000m. His base camp will be completely installed and his complete staff at the base camp of the Japanese on December 23.
Currently the cook and both kitchen boys sleep with the material left at 4h00hs walk of the Japanese base camp.
For Christmas, a small lull on the level of the wind will allow him to "réveillonner" in altitude...., he will have to wait for his return to the base camp to drink the small champagne bottle that I slipped to him into his luggage with foie gras.... He should thus go up to sleep at 6000m on December 23rd , 7000m the 24th  and perhaps at 7400m the 25th  then return to base camp the 26th . To confirm!
