“Climbs” in all its forms: A single prize list
Portrait
Enthusiasm at the service of performance Jean-Christophe Lafaille is "not a big man (1m60), but technically excellent and extremely humble".  He is one of the world's leading alpinists.

Katia, his wife and marketing advisor, points out his performances on the different climbing surfaces and his eclecticism which instils an inner sense of logic.  This versatility is self cultivating "I am not a highly specialized climber but a specialist in all the  climbing techniques", states Jean-Christophe, who goes on to explain some of the important stages of his life.

Together with Katia, he enjoys sharing his training sessions of mountain biking, the mountains or ski touring.

The childhood dream continues to be fed by reading about other people's exploits and by frequently reading his "spiritual masters" such as the indispensable likes of Desmaison and Bonatti and, on the Himalayan side, Reinhold Messner and Pierre Beghin.
