Katia Lafaille is Swiss and mother of two boys, Jérémi 11 and Tom 4, the son she had with Jean-Christophe.

In 1989, she left her home town of Geneva to live in the valley of Chamonix to carry out her passion for “alpinism”.
Very quickly she had to give up the high-level mountaineering she had planned due to knee problems.


She continues however climbing for pleasure, cross-country skiing, cycling, running in races, paragliding.

In 1992 Katia and Jean Christophe met up for the first time, then again in the mountains in the Vallée Blanche on the way to the Mont Blanc etc. …Several years later it’s the mountain that has united the couple that makes up Katia and Jean-Christophe today.


A good knowledge of alpinism and its environment, made Katia decide to offer her valuable assistance to Jean-Christophe.  She professionalizes the preparation of his projects.  She manages the whole of his administration, public relations and logistics.  On his side, Jean-Christophe runs his training sessions and prepares his projects etc.

This additional support and professionalism enables his partners, journalists and others to have an intermediary on whom they can rely.
It also means that both Katia and Jean-Christophe can share their training, projects, collaboration and form a team on which Jean-Christophe can rely.

Katia adores her work even if it takes up a great deal of her time, she still does as much sport as possible and shares her sense of “adventure” with Jean-Christophe.
